No body listens to Sarah Beeny

Have you watched Property Ladder on Channel 4 with Sarah Beeny? Not a bad show! However it does glamorise developing property in a way that makes everyone think its easy. What it does not show you is all the hard work that goes into finding property to renovate, it does not show you the countless hours you spend getting the best prices and it does not show you the proper ways to fund your development.

One thing I have noticed with this program is that very rarely do the want to be developers listen to Sarah Beeny, is it because she is female ?- NO, is it because she is the presenter ?- NO, is it because they are more interested in being on TV ?- NO. I think the reason is that all the first time developers want to do it thier way and not one of them wants the input from a seasoned professional.

I have developed many properties over the years, and I think Sarah Beeny would agree with me that Professionals do not always get it right, but the experience of a seasoned developer is usually right 99% of the time. If you want to get your project off to a good start, if you want to maximise your profit, if you want to sell your development in the quickest time possible then it is always better to take advice from your contractor/ tradesmen. I am not saying that all contractors are right as you will see from the TV show rogue traders, these companies give us all a bad name, get to know your tradesmen, get referances from past clients, at the end of the day you need to work in partnership to maximise you developing potential.

At SUPER HANDY SQUAD we are interested in sorting those niggling jobs around the home or business, but as I said we have developed many properties and if anyone would like advice we are more than welcome to help, just reply to the post.
